Snow and Ice Removal 

The Public Works Department is responsible for snow clearing, snow removal, sanding and salting of city roads. Current practice is that highest traffic streets (school zones, hospital zones, truck routes) are cleared for snow first followed by secondary public roads. Residential roads are not plowed unless a heavy snowfall occurs. 

In times of heavy snowfall, the City of Brooks will contract external services to provide better winter conditions for drivers and pedestrians.
