The Recreation Department operates the JBS Canada Centre and Centennial Regional Arena and the City programs that are provided within these facilities. This Department also provides support and resources to community special events.

These two facilities offer a venue for more than a dozen local sports groups, program more than 30 stand-alone programs for all ages, and provide spontaneous use more than 14 hours a day. These programs assist people with healthy living by making recreation a fun and affordable option for individuals and families.
