Community Development Services 

Community Development services include a wide variety of social programming, cultural programs, economic development initiatives, tourism promotion, business support, land-use planning and development permitting. Often referred to as “soft services”, these programs contribute to the viability of a community and the quality of life that residents enjoy.
Under the MGA, municipalities aren’t specifically mandated to provide social service support. But when we do, the community is strengthened, sustainable and more viable. Currently, support is given to various social services through reduced rental rates, event sponsorship, assistance with administration costs, partnering on events and programs, and participating on Boards and Committees.
